Who We Are
Breakthrough Recovery is a Christ-centered discipleship recovery ministry. We walk with men and women who are tired of being controlled by the things that keep pulling them back: substances, alcohol, pornography, anger, shame, and every other life-controlling issue that steals identity and purpose.
We don't just manage behavior. We go after the root. Through the Word of God, the power of the Holy Spirit, honest community, and real accountability, people discover who they are in Christ and learn to live free, one week at a time.
Our doors are open. You don't have to have it all together to walk in. You just have to be ready.
Every week is built on Scripture and the finished work of the cross.

The Program
Breakthrough Recovery moves through three phases, each one seven weeks long. Every week has a lesson, a scripture, and a declaration that you live out all week.
Getting real with God, yourself, and others. Breaking denial, facing the truth, and surrendering control to Jesus.
Dealing with the roots, walking through forgiveness, and rebuilding the relationships and habits that were broken.
Living as a new creation, guarding your freedom, and turning around to help someone else find theirs.
Open door model: you can start any week. Participants sign their Breakthrough covenant at their first session, not before they walk in.

Coach Certification
God is raising up men and women who have walked through the fire and are ready to lead others out. Breakthrough Recovery Coach certification equips you to practically launch and lead BR in your local church using the Coach's Guide.
You'll learn how to lead a group, how to walk with people through all 21 weeks, and how to keep people safe, including when and how to refer someone to professional help.
Breakthrough Recovery Coaches are disciple-makers and peer leaders, not counselors or therapists. Safety training is part of every certification.

Founder
Bishop Philip D. Burns is the founding Senior Pastor of Relentless Worship Center in Dalton, Georgia, and the founder of Breakthrough Recovery. He is an apostolic leader, author of more than a dozen books, and a revival preacher with over 30 years of ministry.
